What Do Exercise Physiologists Do?
Exercise Physiologists are university-qualified allied health professionals who specialise in using movement and exercise to support people living with disability, injury, or chronic health conditions.
They assess how your body moves and functions, then design tailored exercise programs to help you participate safely in everyday life.
An Exercise Physiologist may:
- Develop exercise plans for strength, balance, or coordination
- Educate you on safe ways to move during daily activities
- Work with your support team to align therapy goals
- Help you understand how exercise supports physical and mental wellbeing
- Monitor progress and adjust plans over time
At Physio Inq, all Exercise Physiologists are ESSA registered and experienced in supporting NDIS participants of all ages and abilities.
Our Approach to NDIS Exercise Physiology
Our process is simple and person-centred:
- Initial Assessment – We listen to your needs and review your goals and capabilities.
- Personalised Plan – Together, we create an exercise plan that fits your NDIS funding and daily routine.
- Regular Sessions – We guide you through exercises safely, adjusting as you progress.
- Progress Reviews – We provide regular updates and communicate with your support coordinator or therapy team.
Sessions can take place in your home, local gym, community space, or online through telehealth if preferred.
