NDIS Exercise Physiology in Western Suburbs of Adelaide Physio Inq

Western Suburbs Of Adelaide NDIS Exercise Physiology

Our exercise physiologists support people living with disabilities to move safely, build strength, and participate more confidently in daily life, whether that means getting around the house more comfortably, feeling steadier on your feet or keeping up with the routines that matter to you.

We provide mobile and telehealth exercise physiology services for NDIS participants across Australia, so they can access support in a familiar, comfortable setting without the added pressure of travel when that’s the easier option.

Whether your goal is maintaining mobility and fitness so that you can keep up with your hobbies, building the independence needed to go about your day with confidence or something else, our team works alongside you and your support network to make movement feel more manageable in your day-to-day life.

What Do Exercise Physiologists Do?

Exercise physiologists are university-qualified allied health professionals who use movement and exercise to support safer, more confident participation in everyday activities for people living with disability, injury or chronic health conditions.

They assess how your body moves and functions, then design a personalised exercise plan to help you participate safely in everyday life at home, in the community, and during the activities you need to do each day.

An exercise physiologist may:

  • Develop exercise plans for strength, balance or coordination, helping you manage everyday tasks
  • Educate you on safe ways to move during daily activities to help reduce the risk of falls, strain or setbacks
  • Work with your support team to align therapy goals so everyone caring for you is working towards the same priorities
  • Help you understand how exercise supports physical and mental wellbeing so that your progress feels clear and achievable
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans over time so support keeps pace with your needs and goals

Exercise physiologists at Physio Inq are qualified and experienced. Just like other therapists on our team, whether that’s a physio in West End neighbourhoods or a speech therapist elsewhere, our exercise physiologists are here to support NDIS participants of all ages and abilities.

Our Approach to NDIS Exercise Physiology

Our process is simple and people-centred.

  • Initial Assessment: We listen to your needs, reviewing your goals and capabilities, including the day-to-day tasks you want to feel more confident doing.
  • Personalised and Accessible Plan: Together, we develop an exercise plan that fits your NDIS funding and daily routine, so it’s easier to stay consistent without disrupting your life.
  • Regular Sessions: We guide you through exercises safely, adjusting as you progress, and supporting you at a pace that feels comfortable.
  • Progress Reviews: We provide regular updates and communicate with your support coordinator or therapy team to reduce admin stress and keep everyone aligned.

Sessions can take place in your home, local gym or community space. They can even be done online through telehealth if you prefer or need to receive care remotely. This also applies to our other services, whether you’re looking for a Kingsgrove physiotherapist or a speech therapist in a different location. This way, you can choose what feels most comfortable and accessible.

Some Information On NDIS Funding For Exercise Therapy

NDIS funding may be utilised in flexible ways to support movement, independence and participation in everyday life, based on what matters most to you. This support may include short periods of focused therapy to help build skills or confidence during times of change, such as starting something new or adjusting to new routines.

NDIS funding may cover home exercise programs that are transparent and simple to follow between sessions, helping you stay active in a way that fits your day. For some people, funding may support safe access to community spaces like gyms or hydrotherapy, making it easier to stay involved outside the home.

In some cases, funding may also be used for equipment that supports safer movement at home or in the community.

While the NDIS generally has an age limit of 65 for initial access, Physio Inq is committed to providing necessary care to everyone. Our services can be accessed through other funding options as well, including Home Care Packages (HCP), the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), or private payment.

So, regardless of your age or funding source, we’re here to provide you with the personalised care you need.

  • Everyday Movement and Confidence: Exercise physiology programs are designed to support everyday movement, like walking, getting in and out of bed and more.
  • Strength and Fitness Support: Goal-directed strength and fitness activities can help you feel steadier and more capable when completing tasks like carrying groceries or going up the stairs.
